The Great Dave Foley: Magic Tricks Master (Or Something!?)

I was watching TV late last night when I saw a show on ITV4 (I think), called Breaking the Magician’s Code. Yes, I’d seen it before. But this time I just happened to have a laptop in front of me, so I decided to search for magic tricks myself. And if you follow that link, that’s the site I found. So I ordered a couple of things, and now we’ll see what happens. I’ll probably post again once I’ve learned a few tricks and have performed to somebody.

According to the site these are the types of tricks David Blaine and Derren Brown perform on their TV shows. I may have mentioned before that I’m a huge Derren Brown fan but I always thought his tricks were really complicated; the kind of thing it took years to learn? One of the things I bought was the Derren Brown Lecture DVD in which it says he’ll explain some of his repertoire. I hope it’s not too difficult for me to do…

Anyway, I’m really looking forward to getting good at this stuff. To tell you the truth I was actually quite surprised when I found that stuff like this was so easily available to buy. But I guess that’s the thing with the Internet. You can buy virtually anything if you can afford the price tag.

Hope to write again soon.

Ciao!

Christmas TV

Would I be justified in saying that on the whole, every Christmas, they show the same TV shows every year?

I was going to buy a Radio Times to check out what was going to be on this year but then I thought, “Forget it, I’ll just dig out last year’s.”

Let’s face it, some of the films are good and it’s nice to see them again. But on the other hand, watching “Die Hard” 3 times in a week was a little bit too much for me.

Hello!

I’ve wanted a blog, basically because I like hearing myself talk, and now it’s finally here.

I guess I should begin by telling you something me and what I’m into.

I like psychology and all that out there stuff that most people don’t like to think about. I’m into rock music and play the guitar and I’m a huge Derren Brown fan.

I hate reality TV and I want to do a sky dive one day. My favourite food is pasta.

I’m not exactly sure how to start a blog. Every which way I think about it, the beginning of my blogging is going to be abrupt. So tomorrow, I’ll just start where I am.

See you then,

Dave.
